Parrotlets

Links of Interest

The International Parrotlet Society was founded in 1992 to promote the care, maintenance, breeding, keeping, conservation and showing of all species of parrotlets. IPS produces a bimonthly newsletter that has a photograph of a different species of parrotlet in each issue. Their newsletter is about 36 pages long and is broken down into general parrotlet information, breeder information and pet information so there is something for everyone.

IPS offers it's members free classified advertising. Members are listed in and receive a copy of a Membership/Breeder Directory.

IPS sponsors breeding cooperatives for Mexican and Yellow Face parrotlets and is currently writing standards for exhibition of parrotlets.

IPS meets twice a year at the annual American Federation of Aviculture convention and the National Cage Bird Show.

Currently, IPS has over 700 members in 11 different countries. Dues are $25.00 for U.S. and $30.00 for international.
